The latest publication in ACIAR’s Monograph series is the Indonesian version of Making value chains work better for the poor: a toolbook for practitioners of value chain analysis (ACIAR Monograph No. 148).It is dedicated to Tim Purcell who tragically passed away on Sunday 11 March 2012 at his home in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
As a Managing Editor and publisher of the original toolbook in English, Tim's collaborative and ‘open-door’ approach to sharing information freely made this latest ACIAR edition of the toolbook possible, and so easy.
From our days at university together, Tim focused first his education and research, then later his business Agricultural Development International (ADI), on helping others, particularly the poor, through collaborative agricultural research and development.
We will miss Tim at ACIAR, not just for the work he did but for the person he was. He will be remembered so warmly by so many.
Rodd Dyer, ACIAR Research Program Manager, Agribusiness
As a colleague of Tim, I agree that we have lost a talented and understanding consultant in the area of Agribusiness and agricultural development especially of the GMS countries.
ReplyDeleteI have used this toolbook in various trainings and find it useful and easy to follow. Congratulation for Idonesian practioners to have a toolbook in their language.
